Chura Sushi Bar

Would not have noticed this restaurant if my mum did not take a second look in its direction. It's visually sandwiched between Boost & Jollibee. So glad we decided to walk over to check it out instead of heading to the left where most restaurants are situated. The food is simply amazing in terms of both taste & presentation. Staffs were very pleasant & helpful too, they kept refilling my mum's tea proactively. Their cheerful service made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend this place!

High quality Sashimi with top tier food presentation. Sashimi was fresh and doesn’t have weird fishy smell, every bits was juicy and meaty. Spicy Salmon was okay, the Chili/Hot oil is overpowering the Salmon taste. Fried Salmon Skin was amazing, it’s crispy and not your average Fried Salmon Skin, it’s dehydrated first and then fried, resulting in a Fish Cracker alike texture.

Taste - 8.2/10: The omakase has a good flavour profile, each with its own unique taste such that it compliments each other. 8/10 Price - 9.5/10: For a $58 omakase, its probably one of the most value price per taste/amount, considering they provide 12 nigiri and a handroll. Fills you almost to full. Service - 9.0/10: The service provided was such a delight. The chef, Dominic, was extremely lovely. When we were finished with the wasabi, picked ginger and radish, he instantly refilled back for you. Furthermore, he is able to converse with you while preparing the sushi. Environment/Location - 8.8/10: It is located in the central/south of Singapore within Suntec City. Extremely convinient, with the store itself being clean and modern, yet with the traditional feel of a Japanese restaurant. Overall - 8.8/10: It is worth to go out of your way to visit this store if you are craving for sushi due to its legendary price point factor. Will visit this place again if I have to chance to.

First time here and decided to drop by to try. I’d say I was very disappointed with the food quality at this price point. I didn’t enjoy any of the dishes we ordered, sashimi was dry and felt like it’s been left outside for awhile. It wasn’t the supple plump sashimi I expected. Carpaccio looked dry and lacklustre too, uni smelt bad (not your sweet creamy type). Staff was attentive though.
